How Does Microneedling Work?

April 7, 2017

Microneedling is a skin-rejuvenation treatment that utilizes a specialized piece of equipment to stimulate the skin’s healing process. It promotes the production of collagen and elastin, two essential proteins for healthy, strong, and beautiful skin.

The microneedling device is equipped with fine oscillating needles. The needles pass over the skin and produce superficial wounds known as micro-channels. The needles do minimal damage, and the skin responds by initiating the healing process to create a healthier and stronger skin surface.

This treatment also improves skin tone and texture and helps to treat areas of the skin damaged by sunlight, aging, and scarring.
